Cough is a common health problem, sometimes it is not a problem in itself but a symptom of some other problem. Due to excessive cough, pain starts in the throat and ribs as well as in the stomach. Cough usually occurs when you have cough due to problems like Viral Infection, Cold, Flu.

Asthma : Asthma is a disease related to the lungs which affects this organ a lot. Due to this, there is shrinkage or swelling in the windpipe. Persistent cough can be a symptom of asthma, which can get worse due to change of weather and air pollution.
Infection : The main cause of cough is infection, but if your cough is not stopping even after a few weeks, then understand that the infection has reached a dangerous level, it can also be a sign of diseases like flu and pneumonia.
Post Nasal Drip: Many times too much phlegm starts accumulating in the back part of the throat and then there is a feeling of falling of mucus, it is called post nasal drip. Due to this, the mucus that accumulates in the nose comes into the throat, which causes a persistent cough.
Due to the problem related to digestion, you start coughing. So if you are having gastroesophageal reflux or acid reflux, then some part of the food starts coming back into the food pipe, which causes frequent coughing.
What to do in case of cough –
Turmeric :To take turmeric remedy for cough, boil a cup of water by mixing one teaspoon turmeric powder and one teaspoon black pepper powder. If you want, you can also add cinnamon to it for taste. Now mix one spoon of honey in this mixture and consume it regularly as long as the cough persists.
Ginger : Boil this ginger paste in a cup of water. Drinking this mixture three to four times a day will provide relief in cough. If you want, you can also add a few drops of lemon juice to it. Apart from this, you can also chew raw ginger to get rid of cough.
Lemon : Make a mixture by mixing two tablespoons of lemon juice with one tablespoon of honey and consume it several times a day to get relief from cough. To get relief from cough, consuming a little honey mixed with a pinch of salt and lemon juice is also beneficial.
garlic : To get rid of cough with garlic, boil three to four cloves of garlic in a cup of water and add one spoon of carom seeds to it. Now mix some honey in this mixture and consume it. Consuming this mixture also provides relief in symptoms of cough and other respiratory problems.
