CBSE Students: Take Board Exams Twice a Year Starting 2025-26

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Monday that students will get the opportunity to appear for Class 10 and 12 exams twice a year from the academic session 2025-26.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said: One of the objectives of the new National Education Policy introduced in 2020 is to reduce academic stress for students.

Pradhan highlighted the concept of introducing ten baggage-days in schools every year and connecting students with art, culture and sports, among others.

Pradhan was speaking after the launch of the Pradhan Mantri Shree (Prime Minister Schools for Indian Development) program in Chhattisgarh, under which 211 schools in the state will be upgraded. The ceremony was organized at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Raipur.

Highlighting the Centre’s plan under NEP 2020, Pradhan said students will be given the opportunity to appear for Class 10 and Class 12 examinations twice, starting from the academic session 2025-26.

Under the new curriculum structure announced by the Education Ministry last August, the exam will be conducted at least twice a year to ensure students have adequate time and opportunity to perform well.

When the students present at the function were asked whether they were happy with this decision or not, the Union Minister asked them to maintain the marks obtained in both the examinations.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modiji’s vision through NEP is to prepare students in a stress-manner, provide them quality education and make them relevant to the culture and future. Our goal is to become a developed nation. There is a formula,” he added.

Criticizing the previous Congress government in the state, Mr Pradhan said education was not a top priority, but it has become so since the BJP came to power and new Chief Minister Vishnu Deb Sai took over in December last year. There has been dramatic change in key areas, he said. Important

The Union Minister said that in the first phase of the PM SHRI programme, 211 schools (193 primary schools and 18 secondary schools) in Chhattisgarh will be upgraded to hub-and-spoke model with an investment of Rs 2,000 each. Karur said it would be spent.

In this model, an advisory board called the “hub” is centralized and the advisory board is responsible for guiding the advisory board through secondary parts of the “spokes” through services provided to advisors to better themselves. There will also be responsibility.

Pradhan said that on the request of state Education Minister Brimohan Agarwal, more middle and high schools will be included in the next phase of the program.

The minister said India will bid to host the 2036 Olympics and he is hopeful that 10 percent of the country’s medals in the quadrennial event will come from athletes from Chhattisgarh, preparations for which are scheduled to begin this year.

Chief Minister Sai, School and Higher Education Minister Agarwal and senior officials were present in the ceremony.
